Michael has extensive business experience in South Africa and internationally including positions during the 70's/80's and 90's as Managing Director of Moore McCormack Lines/United States Lines, co-founder and Managing Director of Marine Consultancy and Logistics, Chairman of SA IceRinks Management, and with the Grindrod Group of companies. In Sedgefield on the Garden Route and has enjoyed business relationships with Morgan Price International and Lloyds TSB. He currently also has an interest in a dealership in Knysna in the motor sector (Rhino Linings and Beekman Canopies). His extra-cirricular activities over the years are also extensive including Amcham, SANREC, SAISA, SA Ice Hockey and in recent years, Bowls Southern Cape.

 

Michael brings a wealth of business acumen and a network of commercial contacts that are of great ongoing benefit to Conversion and its staff.

 

 

Director of Search Marketing (Board of Advisors) - Lee Stuttaford

 

Lee has proven his expertise in the most competitive online landscapes by delivering tangible results consistently. The travel industry has the largest online budget of any of the sectors.

 

Lee has managed the SEO strategy for Protea Hotels, the largest hotel group in Africa and as a result, Protea Hotels has seen exponential growth in revenue, without a significant increase in offline advertising spend.

 

He has gained invaluable practical knowledge of Web Search throughout his career that he can articulate simply in a way non-web business-people can appreciate. At Cytrus Technology (Pty) Ltd, he headed the development of the Search department, developing SEO strategies for Imperial/Europcar, ADT, Investec, Clickatell, Protea Hotels and African Pride Hotels to mention a few.

 

He is is arguably one of the most knowledgeable people in the search engine optimisation industry in South Africa. He was instrumental in the success of incuBeta.com and Clicks2Customers.com where he consulted on SEO & PPC strategy and ensured that all development was of a world class standard.
